Performers

Toque Tambor

Prepare to rock and (to some extent) roll. Toque Tambor are Hitchin’s premier school of percussion and leading exponents of Brazilian music in the east of England.

This being the groups fifth year they are marking the occasion with a massive, colourful street parade and stage performance.

On Saturday Toque Tambor will be holding a free workshop in street performance. One of Mandinga Arts workshop leaders will be teach you how to take on the character of a costume, giving you an excellent opportunity to get involved in the festival in a real fun way. In addition, if you like what you hear, Toque Tambor are running an introductory course with an initial free session on Tuesday 24th July at the Ravidassia Centre. Check the website for more details
